Fondcombe Breeding's objective

Photo d'accueil

Our goal is to make 3 or 4 foals born annually for the CSO and dressage for international level.

The quality of the maternal line is critical to produce quality horses. We selected the strain of Layec Family in Loiret from who we acquired two fillies by Calvaro, Quiria d'Orion and Rafale d'Orion.

A maternal origin is not enough. We bought to Marie and Pierre-Ange Le Boulanger, one of the best French breeder, several mares with two outstanding broodmares, Gazelle de Brekka in 2005 and Nadia de Brekka, the Ionesco de Brekka's sister.

Education from 6 months, breaking (depending on physical) from 2 years old, get in the van, regular grooming, blacksmith around every 6 weeks, breaking 3 years from March to prepare the competition whose educational value is essential, etc ...

To work our young horses, we employ a talented and accomplished horsewoman, with fluid technology and featuring an extensive equestrian culture. She shows sensitivity and tact and spends a lot of time working in dressage, which is essential for the long term ...

Julien Gonin, one of the most talented riders of his generation, but also Gaetan Scrive valorized our horses in competition or on the young horses french tour all the year or in tour as the Atlantic Tour in Portugal.

They have trusted us :

  • Mark McAuley, irish rider who is very successfull in particular with Miebello
  • Marie Pellegrin, member of the national swiss team and at the top level with her horse Admirable
  • Christian Ahlmann, at world N°1 this summer 2016!

  • Nadja Steiner, swiss rider, member of the national team
